This is a fun little toy. It is educational to the point where you can count the balls. And it helps the small children understand that you have to put the balls back in in order for them to pop out. If there aren't enough balls, none will come out. It scared the little boy I bought it for, but he was only 11months. After he got used to it he loved it! I like this product I would buy this for a gift again.

I agree that the balls tend to roll everywhere, but the kids are now older (3 yrs and 18 mos)and having fun collecting them. It is a little loud, but it is sturdy and has held up with 3 toddlers playing it for nearly two years now. When they come over (I'm a grandma) it's one of the first toys that they go to. My only comment would be that one of my girls keeps trying to reach her hand down the chute to grab the balls before they can pop up. Twice now she's got her arm stuck in it and this last time I even panicked a little wondering how I was going to un-stick it. But we did and it remains a favorite. And the comment about buying extra balls is a good one, although we've managed to keep track of ours fairly well.

I bought this toy for my [...] old daughter. She seems to enjoy it, but perhaps she is just slightly too young for it. She stands up holding onto the toy, which isn't meant for 20+lbs to be leaning on it, so its always tipping over (she's never gotten hurt as the toy isn't very tall and I always put it on carpet; the thing tipping is more of an annoyance to me). If I don't want it to tip, I have to hold the thing steady while she plays. Also, sometimes the suction doesn't seem to work right, and the balls won't shoot up through the tube - I check to make sure nothing is blocking the little fan on the bottom - I have no idea whats causing this. Usually I just turn it off and then back on, and everything is fine. I have only had this item for a little over a week though, so I think its kind of crappy that I would be having even occassional problems with it.

I bought this toy for my one-year-old son. As soon as I turned it on my son screamed and cried. The motor that pops the balls out and the music are extremely loud. They even make my Golden Retriever seek refuge. I wish I would have tried it out before purchasing it.

I ordered this for my one year old granddaughter. She seems to like it. My two year old granddaughter has one and always played with it. It is a toy the kids like.
