I bought this for my 8 month old who was just starting to show signs of walking readiness and I was a little concerned due to some of the negative reviews but still decided to take a risk since it seemed to have more bang for the buck (since it also is a ride-on). I am so pleased that I did!
My daughter loves it and was able to use it rather well right from the start! I have wood laminate floors and I was worried it would take off like a shot but that has never been a problem. She can just as easily control it on the laminate as she can the carpet. She has also never had a problem with the design of the wheels (others mentioned it being awkward).
It easily transforms from one style to the other and assembled easily.
When it is in the ride-on mode it sits low enough that after the first couple of tries she could easily get herself on and off without me worrying about spills. And since it can hold up to 40 pounds my 4 year old can also ride around on it when he gets the whim.
Overall I can find no fault with this toy and highly recommend it.

I love Amazon, but seriously... it's less than $[...] at WalMart and about $[...] at Target. Durability is good, but it doesn't really have any appeal to our son. A friend has a Winnie the Poo one that has Poo sitting on top and he spins when it's pushed... our son LOVED that one, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

For the price, this walk and ride toy is great! It was pretty easy to put together and has plenty of little odds and ends on it for little ones to play with and it bright and colorful. My son loves it!

My daughter was about 13 months old when we were given the Walk N Ride. She absolutely has loved it ever since (she's now 20 months old). She still uses it as a push toy, putting her blankies/stuffed animals on the handlebar and carting them around.
She is short for her age (most people mistake her for a 13 month old now!) and she is still too tall to use it as a riding toy. She recently played with her cousin's John Deere 4 wheeler toy (LOVED IT!) and has been trying to use her Walk N Ride in the same way, but the seat just sits too low. I cannot imagine a 3 year old being able to use it as a riding toy like the upper end of the manufacturer's age recommendation suggests. She still likes to try and will sit on it and scoot herself backwards since that's a lot easier due to the size. She is able to scoot herself forward, but not very well. We end up pushing her ourselves and she loves that. The red flap that opens to a storage area can hold a couple small toys, but can only really be used when it's set as a rider. Since we don't use it that way a lot, I wish the storage area was where the spinner is. Then again, she always loved the spinner when it was a walking toy.
She likes the spinner toy, likes the shifter that makes clicking noises, and likes the circle turning thing which also makes clicking noises. The antenna type thing is a little odd, but she does grab it, bend it down, and watch it spring back up so I guess it's alright. She also likes to put things on it (toy rings or anything that will fit over it).
VERY durable. She's tossed this thing around, plays with it EVERY SINGLE DAY, and it's held up nicely. We've played with it outside a few times, but it doesn't move as well over our grass so we use it indoors most of the time.
Very easy and fast to switch from rider to walk toy and vice versa.
LOVE the colors on it (mine is the bright green one) - gender neutral, bright, and more updated to go with the times.
