My son received this when he was four. Because of the two front wheels, the scooter does not tip easily. Most scooters for younger kids have two back wheels and one front wheel. This causes the child to tip easily and can be frustrating when first learning how to use it. My two year began to use it soon after we received it also. He learned quickly and now uses it. I also like that it folds for easy storage.

My son received this as a gift for his second birthday and learned to ride it very quickly. The base is wide and very sturdy with the three wheels so I feel comfortable with him riding it. However, he can't get it going very fast, and there is no gliding on it at all. You have to constantly push off with your feet to keep moving. If you push off and stand like the older kids do on their scooters, it will stop almost immediately. Overall, it's fun and safe, but at 3 years old now, he's ready for the next step in scooters.

This scooter is a good purchase for little ones new to using a scooter. Someone had stated about the handle bars not turning too far or too easily, but they are functional and perfect for a beginner/toddler and helps keep accidents at bay. The wide base and double front wheels are also good for this reason and not very likely to tip when used properly. My son even uses this in the house without causing a commotion or damage due to it's controlled ride and non-marring wheels! Goes well in the grass also! This scooter is a winner and a great start before upgrading to the "big kid" scooter.
